Our iPhone app allows two parties to negotiate the time for a meeting in a privacy-preserving manner. Currently, the communication is facilitated using Bluetooth allowing the use of the tool when both parties are in the same physical location.
Details on the Application
The scheduling of the meeting works as follows: Both parties start by specifying a set of free time slots and then ordering them according to their preferences on their respective iPhone. They then initiate a search for the other party via Bluetooth and start the negotiation process. The underlying privacy-preserving reconciliation protocol assures that the available time slots of each party are kept private while they determine one common appointment time which both parties have in common and that also maximizes the preferences of both parties. The agreed upon time for the meeting can then be added to the iPhone calendar of both parties.
